Susan Tedeschi at the Belly Up. She speaks in a teeny tiny voice, but sings with a very mature, deep, robust voice. DEFINITELY one of those artists you need to see. has videos. (You saw that one coming, didn’t you?)

Susan Tedeschi at the Belly Up

Not my favorite shot, but simply the one I got edited. I’m lucky I didn’t fall asleep during this. I’m really that tired. I’m going to bed now. Yep, yep. Bed.

  1. Friend of mine introduced me to her a long time ago. She’s one of today’s greats.

  2. Sadly, her stage presence is about exciting as boiled noodles. 1) That little girl voice she uses for speaking gets old real quick. 2) The “I’m an indie grrl singer” schtick is a bit dated on a 39-yr-old.

Musically? She rocks! After the first few songs, though, I had everything I was going to get that was in any way different or distinguishing. The rest of the band was more animated, but less available from where I was standing — and nobody at the stage would let me get closer except one couple.
