If you’ve been to Old Poway Park, you know exactly where this is. And if you don’t, let’s go on a treasure hunt the next time you’re in the area. Bet we could each unearth special treats that would surprise each other. It’s one of my favorite things to do in the park. I like to discover what’s hidden right under my nose.

  4. Keith, you know where the Hamburger Factory is? It’s that whole area on Midland.

Pam & Lloyd, thank you. And ha! Now you’ll have to work at choosing your photos, won’t you?

  6. It’s now much bigger and there’s a whole old fashioned park surrounding the restaurant, complete with old train.

Just some of the photos I’ve taken in the park:

I’ve obviously spent a lot of time there.

You’d be surprised at how much Poway’s changed in the last 20 years.

  7. That second shot of the gear makes it look like it’s carved out of a piece of granite. Very cool.

  8. Yeah, I guess it does. Funny how rusts changes, isn’t it?
