Return of the Plum Blossoms*

DaGoddess @ 01:35

There’s something so promising and joyful about these blooms. They’re great reminders that Spring will be here this weekend. Too soon we’ll be casting aside the sweaters for tank tops, the long pants for shorts, and bulky coats for the occasional windbreaker or hoodie. Are you ready?

* According to my research, they’re very likely of the Newport Plum variety.

  3. Jan, you will soon be surrounded by so much sun, you won’t know what to do with yourself.

Pam, thank you. Amazing what playing with plugins can do to a simple photograph, isn’t it?

  5. Thanks, Leanne! I’m going to assume you meant the bottom one. That seems to be the one most people like best.

  6. Ak! Yes I love them both but the bottom one really captures the daintiness of those blossoms!

  8. Oh, my gosh…I think I’m finally caught up in my little reverse-chronological perusal of your bloggeries.

I like the bottom one best because the branches frame the single blossom and give the whole thing scale.

  9. I like the bottom one better, too. The first one is sort of an establishing shot, and the bottom is the detail — the icing, if you will.
