The Cheat
I feel as though I’ve been cheating on you. And it’s not really a pleasant feeling either. Y’see, the thing is, I’ve been sick the last couple days and everything that’s popped up on the site was posted automatically.
My hours have been funky, to say the least. So I try to make the most of them. I upload, edit publishing date, push the little buttons this way and that, and then the next time I’m awake, I check comments so I can kind of keep up.
You probably don’t care, but it’s bothered me. Honestly, it’s more that I feel so disconnected and I don’t like it.
In a few hours, I’ll be heading in for my P.T. eval. I can’t reschedule it as I’ve already done it once and I need to get started. Only death or uncontrolled bleeding would keep me from this appointment. Okay, maybe a major fever would do it, too, but that’s not the case. I’m sinus-y and my stomach’s all messed up. It’s icky, yet not bad enough to keep me from my appointment. It has kept me from L.D. though and I hate that. I just can’t have him sick.
Anyhow, so there it is. My confession. Have mercy, please.

I give it until tomorrow to go away and then I’m cutting off my head and my stomach and getting on with life.

Hope you’re feeling better soon and that the physio isn’t too hard on you. Sometimes we have to cheat to keep the daily log going – the important thing is that it tells your friends that you’re there.

Cheating? Don’t be so melodramatic! I’ve got the next 14 days of posts already in place and scheduled, so I’m hear to tell you that ain’t cheating. It’s being efficient with your time and energy.

Thanks all. I made it through the eval, but almost didn’t make it home. Long story. Suffice it to say, I’m home and in one piece.
