Cookies and Parties and Wrapping
I don’t know about you, but all this Christmas preparation is for the birds.
Oh, it’s not that there’s no enjoyment in this. There is. Spending time with friends and family is always fun. But the hustle and bustle are a little too much for me. I’m built for comfort, not speed. And the more I have to rush, the worse I feel physically.
Today I woke up in pain. Honest to goodness PAIN. Pain that’s exceeded all since I got home from the skilled nursing facility. Couple Percocets later and I’m feeling better. Gotta shower and get ready to drop gifts off at my sister’s (less to take over on Christmas day), finish up cookies at my mom’s, get a haircut (present from Mom — yay!), and then collapse in an exhausted heap wherever I end up.
Yesterday I went to my friend’s holiday party. Two of the other guests cancelled, so it was a smaller gathering than planned. Still lots of fun, though.
I have lots of photo editing to get done for my home health worker. I’m giving her a disc of some of the photos I took for a Christmas/Thank You gift. I’ll have her pick three of her favorites and make those large enough to print, but the rest will just be proofs. We do plan to work together again in the future. She’s willing to be a model for a couple projects another friend and I are working on.
And that’s about it for me. I have lots of emails to check. Don’t feel bad if I don’t respond right away. Like, you, I’m busier’n a one legged man in an ass kickin’ contest.
If I don’t get back before Christmas, well, happy merry jolly fun to all! And don’t forget, there’s still another day of music!
I’ve been busy sitting on my ass all day. Came into work, nobody’s here, they didn’t plow the parking lot, so those who do come in are getting stuck and no shipments can get in, so there’s no work to do. I may have to bug out of here early!

Sorry you were in pain! So glad you’re enjoying the parties n’ stuff, though…! Have a blast! And… get a haircut for me while you’re there, k?
