Grumble…But Not Really
Having pretty much figured out the new computer (and appreciating the sweet, sweet joy of not having to shut down every 10 minutes for more than an hour just to edit a single photo), I can honestly say my gripes are down to just a few things: scrolling is a bit wonky, I miss having a regular START menu, random resizing of my screen, and trying to find a simple way of creating a new document is just a pain in the ass. Other than that, I can live with “app charms” and all the rest.
Oh, and although I had requested the same exact computer as I’d had before, I was “upgraded” from the 15″ to the 17″ just because my honey is sweeter than sweet. That’s why I ended up with Windows 8 instead of Windows 7. Sigh. Now if only I could get a carrying case to go with this thing since it won’t fit into the camera bag/backpack.
(I sound horribly ungrateful, don’t I?)
Upgrade to Windows 8.1 and you’ll be happy.

I did the update to 8.1 yesterday and it’s MUCH better! (obviously wrote this post ahead of time and didn’t update it because I forgot about it completely!)
