Doodly Doodly Do, Woo

Da Goddess @ 22:38

Or maybe that should be “Eww!”

Same shit, different day.

Still waiting for the new doc’s report to come in so I can get my referral to a pain doc, get into acupuncture, and get my meds.

And then there’s my computer. Graphic card is going. Computer just waiting to die a violent death.

Same ol’, same ol’.

At least I have Thursday to look forward to. Ferguson. Craig. Looks like they’ll be taping two shows. Neil Patrick Harris. Connie Britton. Aaron Paul. And, of course, CraigyFerg himself. Plus, Geoff Peterson, the robot skeleton.

Otherwise, it’s been relatively snoozeville around here. Except for game night last Friday. Learned how to play Guillotine, the card game. Very fun. And we played Zips, the frustrating yet exceedingly fun dice game.

Been watching lots of football, too. King Arthur loves his football. My favorite thing? The Pac 12 games in 60 minutes. Now THAT’S how football games should be televised! Cut out all the filler and leave in the good stuff.

The mosquitoes are back. The heat died off just enough to encourage those little bloodsuckers to fly about and come after me. Needless to say, I’ve declared a jihad on them. I HATE mosquitoes.

Mom’s selling off her house and much of her lovingly assembled collection of antiques in preparation of moving into assisted living. Dad is fighting increasing dizziness, which concerns me. My sister is still handling all the big stuff for both of them and doing a fantastic job of it. The kids are busy living their lives, with LD putting together his first resume. We spent some time on the phone today gathering up all his volunteer history so his resume reflects his amazing service and experience. Mojo continues to wait for her Air Force paperwork to be finalized so she can ship off for Basic.

King Arthur’s daughter inches closer to her due date. The baby should be here in the middle of next month, which is exciting for everyone.

And that’s my life in a nutshell. Thrilling, ain’t it?

  2. Hmm, I still have my computer with the fried BIOS chip that I haven’t bothered to take to the recycle, do you want the video card? (Assuming you have a big enough case for it.)

  3. Thanks, Jan. I’m on a laptop, so it’s all connected and I can do nothing beyond replacing the whole thing. Don’t know how I’ll go about it just yet, but I’m looking at a few options.

Pam, I dare say my life is snoozier than yours. I’d wager all your dogs on it! :D

  4. Well, that’s a pain in the you-know-what. I don’t have a spare (functional) laptop hanging around either.
