Ya Think?

Da Goddess @ 18:47

I’m a horrible blogger. Really, truly horrible.

It’s not because I don’t care. Honest. I DO care.

I just haven’t had any luck setting up my wifi. And the neighbors moved. The ones with the best wifi signal in the neighborhood. Plus, the dog ate my homework.

Well, okay, maybe the dog didn’t eat my homework, but I swear there was a dog involved! We dogsat yesterday. And the sweet guy is NOT what you’d call a confident houseguest. He was up most of the night. And I was up with him.

You see, my dad’s friends are going out of town for a couple days at the end of the month and the dog will stay with us while they’re gone. We had the dog over for a test sleepover. He’s a sweetheart. A big, loveable sweetheart. But he’s lacking the confidence in new surroundings that most dogs seem to have. That’s okay, though, because he gets extra pampering from my dad because of it. And from me. Dog wouldn’t eat? I let him lick the last traces of yogurt out of the yogurt container. Next thing you know, he’s eating. (I’ve never been above bribing children or animals to eat.) He won’t sleep alone? Fine. I’ll go sleep out on the couch so he’s not alone (and he didn’t like sleeping on the floor next to the bed in my room. Whatever it takes, I will make him more comfortable when he’s here.

So, there you have it. This is what I’ve been doing lately. What about you?

  1. Aw, a furry house guest! :D

Nothing new here. Hope you get new neighbors with a strong signal… ;)

  2. Hmm, lemme see…
    There’s the mortgage problem
    The sample problem
    The computer problem
    The work “incident” problem
And the various “news” items problems

I’m about out of my mind and ready for something drastic. No happy-campering goin’ on here…
    :(

  3. – Daughter and two grandkids that have been with us since mid-Jan are moving out this weekend. Yay! For her, for getting her own place, and for us, for her getting her own place and getting our house back.

    – Fixed my laptop and it works great! Now gotta get a power cord for my wife’s laptop so she’ll let me have mine back…

    – Looks like we’ll get more than we thought back in taxes. Yay! Except the IRS will likely be keeping it all due to a big back tax bill. Boo! But it will make a significant dent in what we owe them. Uh…yay?

If you want to know more, drop by and visit sometime… ;) , that is, when you get a decent wi-fi signal…

  4. Jan, let’s run off to Spain and open a B&B! Or England. Preferrably something around Cornwall.

Pam, fingers crossed on the new neighbors and wifi for me.

Dave, sorry to hear about the IRS taking the refund, but happy to hear your debt will be reduced and also happy to hear you’re getting more house back

  5. Ireland would be good too. Got everything fixed except the computer. My new one arrived (I’m using it now), but it won’t let me use my brand new SSD as a boot drive stupid &*&%^$#* thing. What a waste.

Anyway, it’s been a bitching week and since it’s a 3-day weekend, I took Tuesday off to make it a 4-day weekend. Maybe my blood pressure will be back down by then. But with the computer, maybe not…
