Brown Fuzzy Balls

DaGoddess @ 03:38

I made the mistake a few months back of washing a blanket I got before Christmas. It’s one of those super soft fleecy blankets that’s just amazingly comfortable. Anyhow, I figured it was due a washing after months of being on the bed. Not a bad idea. Except that it left brown fuzzy balls in the washing machine and in the dryer and on my clothes and…well, you get the gist.

So here I am months later. I’ve washed clothes and sheets and everything many times over. But I’m still getting fuzzy balls all over my stuff.

It’s worse than the white cat fur on my dark clothes.

What’s a girl to do?

  1. I did something similar with a throw rug and a navy blanket. I still have white fuzzy dots all over the blanket. The only ways to get rid of them is not tape but to pluck them. Needless to say the blanket now resides in the spar room with the my cat Razz. Razz seems happy with his new blanket LOL

  2. The problem I had went far deeper than just a few fuzzies here and there. They hid in the washing machine and the dryer and still make appearances with every wash.

And then they lie in wait and attack in the bedroom.

They’re evil, vicious fuzzy brown balls!

:pirate: :box: and I am :zombie:

  4. Try cleaning out the filter, then run a rinse cycle with nothing in the machine except an old towel. Clean filter again and run the rinse cycle again. When the filter is clear you should have licked it!

  6. Pam,

Monk, there have been no fewer than 100 loads of laundry since that blanket went through. I’m afraid we’re screwed. (I am moving in a month though…that may improve the laundry situation but definitely not the actual blanket lying in wait in the bedroom sit.)

Great Reader, your words said it all.
