Concession
I think I’m almost willing to concede that this vertigo thing may possibly be something more than compressed nerves in my neck. I still think that’s part of it though. However…
Sleepless night. Dizziness no matter what. Slight congestion. Exploding eyeballs. I think I may have even been hallucinating or something. I’d close my eyes and I’d see crazy cartoon characters and lettering. It was like having a wonky monitor with everything squished to one side and distorted. (Didn’t there used to be a cartoon series called Tummy Monsters or something? I was seeing stuff like that…or like Lenore…)
Fun times.
LD is without fever, but he has a nasty cough and he’s really pale.
I’m pretty certain we’ll both survive, it just doesn’t feel like it at the moment.
We now return you to your regular program.
Vertigo is the worst. I had it last year and couldn’t get out of bed for three days. I was lying in the middle of my bed and still thought I was going to fall out of it. I was out of commission for five days. When I went to work, I kept walking into walks because I couldn’t walk straight. It was caused by an inner ear viral infection. It’s not fun at all.

Hope y’all feel better!
Could it be that you’re having a sinus or inner ear issue?

I hope you feel better soon. Vanessa has been sick here again–and since hubby is out of town this week, I’m going to have a fun time working out my work schedule for a number of Vanessa-related events, to include taking her in to the doc tomorrow. Ugh.

I had an issue a few years ago while in Hawaii. All the fun of drinking with out the alcohol. No coordination, spins. Was like that for a week. Horrible.
I’d be willing to bet that something is going on with your inner ear.

The slight congestion I had is gone, but the dizziness continues. My guess is that I’ve had a combination of congestion/inner ear + nerve compression issues. It’s been thrilling…NOT!
At least I can say it’s easing up a bit. That’s better than nothing, right?

What a bum deal. But I learned from a relative’s experience that a virus in the ear canal is nothing to play with — she went deaf in one ear overnight, and it’s permanent! Hope you’re getting good care . . .
