Some of My Favorites

Diamonds on the soles of her shoes

That big “diamond” is from Pier 1. I know this because I found a basket full of them there the other day and wanted to buy one — until I found out they were $12 a piece. So much for that dream!

Shapes on Steps

I loved these shapes, the textures, everything about this little spot on the stairs. The colors and the way they were lined up, looking like they were just waiting for their turn in the sand made me smile.

Bicycle

This bicycle was just too perfect. The color of the wall, the color of the bike rack, and the bike itself just seemed to scream, “take a picture of me now!” And so I did.

  1. The last photo screamed, “Comment about me now!” So I did.

  2. Kind of makes you want a bicycle just like that, doesn’t it? I mean, it’s the sort of bike that could take you on a magical carefree journey, to a place where the sun always shines, the birds always sing, and the flowers are picture perfect.

I think I need that bike right about now.

  3. Wow, that bicycle picture is perfect! You can’t beat happening upon something like that.

About the jewels…I wonder if you could make a bunch of ice jewels. You could even use food coloring in the water or use apple juice or cranberry juice for colors. Check out these molds:
