Now This Is The Story All About How My Life Got Flipped, Turned Upside Down

Feel free to discuss your favorite episode of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

Mine? Hmm, it's a toss up between the one with the earthquake/People's Choice Awards plot line and the one where Will and Ashley decorate for Christmas. Of course, anything that featured lots of Geoffrey was an instant classic. Like the one where he was named Nicky's godfather, or the one where he had to go "rescue" Lady Penelope.

Do you remember the episode when Quincy Jones made an appearance? Did you know that I've spoken to Quincy Jones many times via telephone? Would you rather talk about how horrible the show was because it only played up the stereotypical behavior of the vile capitalists?

Hit me with your best shot here. C'mon. Don't be shy. I can take it.

Hit you with my best shot? Sorry. It appears to be a self-inflicted wound.

Step away from the TV...

I am proud to say that I've never seen one episode of Fresh Prince.

"stereotypical"?!?!? How can a wealthy black family EVER be considered "stereotypical"? That's almost as funny as the episode of Smallville where Pete (the black kid) gets pulled over and the cops say "This guy doesn't fit the description."

Oh come on. Fresh Prince was pure fun. There's nothing like it on TV anymore.

I'll play. Let's see.... I like the ep where Will is gonna take the hoochy to the prom and then get freaky, but there's an earthquake and they get stuck in the basement and he finds out what a fake and a turd she is. And my real favorite is the HS graduation episode where Will has to take the elementary music class and wear the sunflower outfit....

Tell us about Quincy Jones. That guy is a legend. He had an album about 15 years ago that is still one of my favorites.

The early episodes were good. If you watch close, you can see Will Smith lip syncing the other characters' lines when he is on camera but someone else is talking.

That Will Smith! Always has been serious about his craft.

;)

Will Smith is funny and it's worth watching a few episodes of Fresh Prince just to see his natural and developing talents. If you ever get a chance to see out-takes of him, they are the best.

It appears that commrade Carl is serious about censoring me for my horrible impeachment of his character. In preparing to continue the inane discussion I actually found some very intersting pieces of data and perspectives which a few of you may be as interested in as I am.

I will prepare a summary of some data points as well as a description of how I think the argument would have gone, along with my (winning) conclusion.

Sorry to see the Chargers go down but you can take solace in the fact that you aren't Broncos fans. Sigh.

I always got a kick out of Carlton when he sang Tom Jones and did his goofy little dance. And as you said, Geoffrey was always a hoot. :o)

Notice carl never tried to engage me in a discussion. Odd, wonder why?
