St. Bernards and Maine Coons

Other than people, the only creatures out in this rain are the crows and the worms. The crows are enjoying themselves immensely.

I just drove through 6 inches of rapidly running water at an intersection and that was the good part of my drive home this morning.

"I just drove through 6 inches of rapidly running water"

That's because the streets in San Diego aren't built to handle runoff and have the suckiest drainage I've ever seen.

This Oregonian laughs in the face of your puddles.

But do drive safely, I remember what the roads get like down there.

I myself have always liked the alliteration of "ocelots and alsations".

"Newfies and Coons" gets my vote, but then, I've got a couple of Maine Coons, myself.

I'm finishing up vacation today, and had to drive my older (exchange student) daughter to high school.

As did everyone else. It took me ten minutes to go 1/4 mile.

Can't wait to get back to work and the usual Orange County traffic jams.

I don't miss the So-Cal traffic. No way! The only traffic jams I see are the ones outside the dragstrips on Saturday mornings.

Any of All Y'all want to trade? We've got about 6 to 10" of snow and it is still falling! The T-Bird ain't happy.

I'm a little slow on the uptake today - took me a moment to get the entry title. I like "ocelots and alsations"!
