The Pity Party for Pablo Paredes went off without a hitch.
Nothing new to report from the stale Left. Same old rhetoric. The war is illegal, Bush is a criminal, anyone serving in the military is a tool and a fool. They actually had literature stating that. If that's the case, why do they claim to care about our armed forces? Easy. They don't.
Our only handout, other than American flags, were pieces of paper that read:
US CODE: Title 18, Section 2387. Activities affecting armed forces generally Whoever, with intent to interfere with, impair, or influence the loyalty, morale, or discipline of the military or naval forces of the United States:
Advises, counsels, urges, or in any manner causes or attemtps to cause insubordination, disloyalty, mutiny, or refusal of duty by any member or the military or naval forces of the United States;
Distributes or attempts to distribute any written or printed matter which advises, counsels, or urges insubordination, disloyalty, mutiny, or refulsal of duty by any member of the military or naval forces or the Unites States --
Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both.
On the back was a similar blurb about enticing desertion and harboring deserters.
Armed with a handful of these things, I rounded up two of the guys and was ready to wade into the fetid bowels of the beast. The producer and assistant producer for the Rick Roberts Show joined us on our trek.
To Be Continued.........

As our beloved Goddess prepairs to enter the patchouli scented depths of the sewer that is a Moonbat swarm we can only hope she has benefited from watching the only good show on TV:
"Dances with Moonbats ... Moonbat Xtreme!!!"

Thanks for being there. The kid was criminally dumb...but those who pumped him up to do stupid things were contemptible. Thanks for outing them.

Posted by: sgt King at December 20, 2004 05:22 AMFirst time posting here-I think. I may have a long time ago but, well, it was a *long* time ago. I comment on SMASH's blog ever so infrequently.
I don't know if it's the best thing to do-that is to execute the criminally stupid, but just the same, I would feel for anyone who has to pay for some such someone's room and board at Leavenworth.
Paredes on the other hand I don't think is best described as criminally stupid. He seems fairly intelligent, but is most certainly a damn fool. As that's the case, without further ado, I have to say I don't really have a problem with him being executed. Sadly, that won't happen, and the tax payers will be providing his sustenance and shelter for the next decade or so to come.
It's a pity.

It occurs to me that we have not always needed examples of people willing to stand up for their beliefs, but the fact is that it has become increasingly more difficult and, in some ways, more dangerous to do so. Well done, you.
And thanks.
Posted by: Patricia Tryon at December 20, 2004 08:57 PMDear Goddess of All That Is Righteous,
I had to let you know how proud of you and Smash we all are. I read his post and yours and wanted to extend my personal thanks to you for doing what is right and standing up for your country. God bless you and all your group.
