It's a shame it had to come to this, but since it has, I'm grateful that Frank was able to say what needed to be said.
Posted by DaGoddess at October 31, 2004 06:15 PMGo thank a Marine. I sit at home and scribble on a laptop, They take an oath, give up their lives and die to set other men free.
Posted by: Frank Martin at October 31, 2004 06:24 PMThanks for posting this DaGoddess! I'm always amazed at how quickly people seem to forget about the mass graves and bodies of the dead long missing. And yet the media is so eager to report about the number of dead soldiers, while equally important I feel the media isn't adequately reporting the causes for which they died.
BTW, your comments aren't working for your previous post - hilarious! I just hope I don't catch my cat doing that...he was particularly horny yesterday, too.
Posted by: yayaempress at November 1, 2004 05:52 AMWell, it is sad that horrific images like that have to be put "in your face" as on Frank's site before people will sit up and take notice. Have we all become that desensitized to the suffering around us? It's good to care, but really, we all should have cared long before we were shown these photos.
Oh, and on a slightly related note, anyone wanting to see the "left" and the "right" locking horns on this Election Eve, go read this:

Hope you had a nice Halloween!
