I know that many think Bush needs to work his ass off to capture New Jersey and Pennsylvania, but let me tell you something, I saw more Bush/Cheney signs than anything else. All surrounded by American flags.
Then there was this sign that I caught whilst on the plane in Newark.
Posted by DaGoddess at October 19, 2004 02:44 AMThe "American is for W" was subtle. Nice.
Posted by: Tom_with_a_dream at October 19, 2004 06:32 AMNice shot! I would have totally missed that.
Posted by: yayaempress at October 19, 2004 08:40 AMI am so sorry I missed you sweetie... hopefully, you will come out to the East Coast again sometime soon. {{{hugs}}}
Posted by: Kate at October 19, 2004 01:55 PMI hope you're right about PA. It's hard being a republican in this area. The city of Pittsburgh is going bankrupt, but there isn't a single member of the democrat controlled city government that has to worry about not being re-elected. Go figure!
Posted by: m.cross at October 19, 2004 03:26 PMFederal, state and city governments are going bankrupt because of all the tax cuts and tax breaks. It is Republican Party policy to starve the budget (except the military/homeland). Didn't you sign your loyalty pledge? Get with the program!
Yuh, funny picture, W is definitely not on the bus, so to speak, with the rest of us. America will be leaving him behind very, very soon.
Posted by: stevo at October 21, 2004 02:24 AMI live in NJ and I am not for Bush. Things aren't always the way they seem.
Posted by: Suzeee at October 21, 2004 08:45 AMI seriously doubt that NJ will go for Bush.
Too many people here like Stevo with their hands out thinking the world owes them something. They think every dollar somebody else in the state pays the federal government comes back in the form of social programs that benefit NJ. That's a load of BS. Most of it goes to other states in the form of programs such as farming subsidies. We even get the shitty end of the stick when it comes to supporting homeland security and the military. Clinton closed Fort Dix, Bush is looking to close Picatinny Arsenal and 3/4th's of our defense industry has already left the state due to high taxes and jack booted environmental regulation.
Nope, I'll keep my tax cut thank you, and I'll create jobs for people with it (and you know I will).
Sorry I missed you sweetie, maybe next time around. (hope that's reaaaaal soon too.)
Posted by: Anton at October 21, 2004 09:55 AMI hope you are right about Jersey, but remember, we have: a democrat governor (a national joke), a democrat state assembly, a democrat state senate, a democrat congressional delegation, and democrat senators, and obviously electorate that would put Dart Vader into office, if he ran as a democrat. My democrat congressman, who is a waste of oxygen, is running unopposed.
Also, I am surpried that you saw so many Bush-Chney signs. I don't have one on my car because I fear that the "free-speech loving, progressives" would vandalize the car.
Like I said, I hope this year is different.
