Well, there's good news and bad news....on a variety of levels.
Good News: Our Protest Warrior family grew this morning. A brand new baby girl joined our ranks!
Today would have been my 9th wedding anniversary if I hadn't filed for divorce. But, I did and I'm glad. Peace of mind and a quieter life is nothing to sneeze at. So, how do you think I spent part of my evening? I spent it with my ex. Little Dude had a Pack Meeting and the ex is now a co-leader for the den. For LD's sake, we kind of muddled through the event. Neither of us mentioned the date. That was a good news/bad news sort of deal.
Good News: I've had a recruiter checking references today. Yay! I also took a call for a potential job this afternoon. I interview tomorrow. Yay!
Bad News: The downside to all of the possibilities is that the process is long and drawn out. Nobody hires quickly. They screen you within an inch of your life. And they should, too. So, the waiting game is on. Still no paycheck. Still no Unemployment. Still blegging for prayers, good thoughts, and donations.
Good News: Now there's hope. Big shiny HOPE. The kind that warms you and lets you crawl into bed without tears or palpitations.
I owe many thank yous - which I'm sending out as quickly as possible. Still, I'd like to say "Thank you!" publicly. Every bit helps and I'm so incredibly grateful!
THANK YOU!
Now, more good news. Something unrelated to me. It's about time, don't you think?
Per over at the Ville. Most of us were aware of many of the successes - written about here and pictured here - but it's ALWAYS good to remind each other in case someone's forgotten.
Okay. Back to me. Eyes front. Thank you.
Bad News: I saw Roger Clinton on an episode of The Nanny today. Was that really necessary?
Good News: A tiny little dragonfly flew through my car today. It wasn't a hallucination, I had a witness.
Off to print out a brand-spankin' new copy of the resume and references. Wish me luck!

Posted by: PCD at September 24, 2004 11:36 AMCrossin' my fingers, my toes, and any other body parts that don't involve a trip to the ER to untangle (I know, I'm no damned fun). *mwah*

Posted by: goldie at September 25, 2004 08:15 PMFinger crossed, arms crossed, legs crossed. You had better get that job quickly I am finding it really hard to type like this :-)
Posted by: Ozguru at September 27, 2004 03:48 AMJoanie, my laptop went to critical care last week so I've been mooching off my husband's computer. I wanted you to know that I looked at your resume and I think the only thing missing is a statement of your interests and talents, like writing and community service.
Also, if you will email me again, since that mail containing your resume is with my ibook in the Apple Intensive Care Unit, I would like to send you something through regular mail. (I always get frustrated with PayPal and give up!)
We're all praying for you!
