Industry

The hedge out in front of the house is covered with enough small spiderwebs that it looks as though there's ice across the top.

Inside the Web

The weird part is, when wet, the webs get slick and shiny...looking almost like plastic.

Dew Drop Inn

Then there are the droplets of water from the morning dew/fog. They hang from the thinnest philaments.

Floating Droplets

Whole clusters of droplets gather and spiral down into the heart of the fine webs.

Not so slick when dry, is it?

When the web dries completely, the slickness is gone and one can see the intricate weave that allows the dew to pool as it does.

Joanie, I love how you see things, how you notice them. We'd have such fun doing a photo safari, even if it was all contained within one city block. :)

Somebody told me be sure and come over for a peak at your webbiness. Way kewl! What's with the circle? Is that something repeated in web building from day to day for this spider? Bunch of spiders?

I have an assortment of web pictures, but nothing like what you've captured!

Fred, THANK YOU! You are THE web master, in my book and I've always envied you your shots.

The way I see it with these circles is...England has their crop circles and I have my web circles. Of the two, I think only mine are natural.

These things are weird...and I love 'em!
