Aside from all the equipment and the buzz of the event, the real meaning of Spirit of America was in the faces of the people who were there.
At one point, the kids were racing from Marine to Marine, asking for autographs. It was good to see the children looking up to the men and women who are out there, defending our Freedom. Instead of athletes and rock stars, the Marines stood out as their heroes yesterday. As they well should.

The Spirit of America is the difference one person can make in the world. It's the difference a group of people can make when working together. It's the melding of ideas, need, solutions, and accomplishment. It's everything that's good about people. It's everything that's good about America.
