Bad Photos
Because (two of) you asked: here are some crappy photos of the new place before anything is really settled.
Ah, yes. You can see the incredibly odd stars the previous tenants had hung. They're not hung so that they dangle at the same length nor do they angle down as they should. I really need to rip them down. The sad thing is, I kind of like them. I just don't like that they aren't uniform.
In addition to the stars, there's the computer table. It's in the middle of the living room. Couldn't think where else to put it. I didn't want it upstairs. I like having the computer in the same room where Little Dude is drawing/doing homework/watching TV.
Then there's the funky green wall coupled with the even funkier blue kitchen. I'm still trying to figure out how anyone came up with that shade of blue for anything.
My shot of the living room and the layout of the furniture didn't turn out too well. I'll try again another day.
By the way, that green? Familiar color to me and my sinuses.

I've got a 19" monitor but can't wait until it dies so I can get myself a 19" LCD. It'll be nice to get some desktop real estate back.

And I do love the treddle desk. I used to have an old treddle sewing machine in my bedroom when I was a kid. Such lovely kitch.
