Running

I do believe I'm cursed with running things.

The old place had the toilet upstairs that just kept running and running and running. The new place has a toilet downstairs that likes to do the same thing on occasion.

At least the new one isn't quite so bad.

And then there's the nose thing.

Oy.

I took yesterday off from doing anything because I woke up in horrible pain. I knew the sinuses would take a nasty hit with the moving, the cleaning, etc. It didn't hit until about 3am. Decongestant and Tylenol didn't help. It took another 12 hours before I felt nearly human again.

Absolutely NOTHING was done.

I'm better today. I feel somewhat close to normal and am debating whether or not I should attempt to move the garage boxes and clean more or if I should take another day off. Decisions, decisions.

Little Dude is still feeling cruddy. Still has a fever off and on and his grandmother thought he should stay quiet another day. I agree. No need for him to come here and be confronted with disorder and general busy-ness. I could use a good cuddle with him, but it's more important that he feel better.

I think I may just go back to bed for another hour. Yep. I actually spent last night in my bed! Slowly. Things are progressing slowly. Even with all the running.

Doesn't sound all grand. Hope you feel better...being sick AND moving cannot be the best combination...

New flapper valve, possibly the float needs adjusting. They sell the replacment valves at the hardware store. Follow the directions on the package.

Ditto what Sgt Mom said. Pull the lid off the systern and make sure the float isn't stuck down lower than it should *nodnod* Not a fun job, by any stretch of the imagination.. but better than wasting water all day and being driven nuts by the sound.

If an older toilet runs all the time, the fix is no more than bending the metal arm the float rides on.
