Flick

In a way, I felt sorry for the snail. He kept turning and turning, around and around. Delighted by the great high-speed ride on the windshield or just looking to tuck and roll? Couldn't tell you.
Little white snail on my windshield
turning 'round in circles
get off now!

I almost felt bad for interrupting his ride. Then I started thinking, what if he's spinning around in circles because I'm not going fast enough for his little squishy slimy daredevil ass? How dare he criticize my driving! I mean, it's not like HE'S the one who'd get the ticket were I to accelerate. He might have felt the need....the need for speed....but it's MY driving record and I'm not about to ruin it for some crazy snail with thrillseeking issues.

On second thought, I don't feel bad at all.

You're missing Mr. Snail's greatest feat of all: getting on top of your car in the first place.

Right, David! I mean, do you have any *idea* how long that took him? No wonder he wanted you to speed your butt up out there. Well, maybe a bird dropped him...

If a bird DID drop him, do you think that HE thought he was still falling when he landed on your windshield?
He was circling, thinking "Gawd, why won't it just END? Why am I tortured so?!"
Or maybe he was trying to commit suicide and picked a jumping off point that was better than he was..."Aaaaaaugggggggh." *breath* "Aaaaaaauuuuuggggggh" *breath* "Aaaaaauuuuggghh. Geez, I shoulda picked a freakin' ROCK." *breath* "Aaaauuugggghh."

The first time we rode in a friend's car, a snail was on the windshield, and he flicked it off with the windshield wipers. The car has been falling apart ever since! I think the snail cursed the car... :|

Hmmmm...quite a dilemma...is the driver responsible for the snail's choice? Does bad snail karma extend to the car or the driver?

Buddhists believe that Buddha returns in many forms, lowly and high. So I'd consider the car a Deus Ex Machina and let snaily fate take it's course.
