Even though my hair has been on its best behavior the last several days (damn, I looked cute!), it was time for a change. I went to see my buddy Lisa and let her have at it. It looks GREAT! (Photos may or may not be posted at some time in the future.)
A little lighter in color, a little shorter (not much), and a whole lot bouncier, I feel better just knowing that it's been done and that I won't have to spend 30 minutes curling it before I go out for the next few weeks.
Anyone who knows me well knows that I hate wasting time messing with my hair. I'm a wash and wear kinda gal. The less I have to fuss with things, the happier I am. The same holds true with makeup, but that's a whole other story.
I'm assembling all the pieces for the Carnival, slowly but surely. Lots of entries. Lots to do.
In addition to that, I'm studying for my PALS class. Yes, it's that time again. Time to be recertified as a pediatric advanced life support provider. Should be interesting!
It's also time to get back to work. TTFN!
Posted by DaGoddess at February 23, 2004 10:50 PMYou're a stunner! I gotta see pics of the new "do".
Posted by: Rae at February 24, 2004 02:57 AMWash it, towel dry, throw in some goop (mousse) and go is my style. That's the only reason I bother to get my hair permed - because when it's straight, it isn't that simple!
Posted by: Bogie at February 24, 2004 04:56 AMhey kiddo,
and you wonder why i shave my head??? actually miss penny is making me grow my hair out...yuck!
of course, she also said i could get a new tattoo *grinning like a madman*
good luck with the carnival!
Posted by: PJ at February 24, 2004 06:43 AMOh, it must have been something in the water. I cut a full 12 inches off my hair on Saturday, maybe even 14... either way, a lot. I feel perkier. Too bad it has absolutely no effect on my boobs...
Posted by: inkgrrl at February 24, 2004 08:24 AMI am soo with you on the wash-n-wear requirement. My waist-length wavy hair is surprisingly low-maintenance. I wash it and let it air-dry. I think there are two kinds of low-maintenance hair: short and long. It's those pesky medium lengths that cause most aggravation.
Posted by: dragonfly jenny at February 24, 2004 01:07 PMI gotta keep seeing my barber 'bout every two weeks or so.
Otherwise, if I let this mess grow too long, I end up like Albert Eienstien doing a bad Buckwheat impression.

My wife is truly a low maintenance, wash and go girl. Winter mornings - ice in her hair is not uncommon.
Posted by: Sam at February 24, 2004 03:06 PMIsn't that always the way?
Once I decide that I need to cut it - usually out of frustration, my hair suddenly looks wonderful...
It's a conspiracy of some sort!
Posted by: GrumpyBunny at February 24, 2004 03:49 PMWouldn't it be nice if a haircut really did make our bosoms perkier?
I'm all about simple, folks. The easier the better.
And, I'm really jealous about that tat.
Posted by: Da Goddess at February 24, 2004 07:33 PMI gotta see pics!!
I need to get myself a hair cut too! Wanna come cut mine? ;)
Posted by: Zaldor at February 24, 2004 08:01 PMI'm needing a change-of-hair, too. I want to see pictures, Joanie! Maybe it'll inspire me. BTW, your comments keep forgetting me, and I do have cookies enabled. *sniffle* I'm that forgettable.
Posted by: gw at February 25, 2004 12:35 AMI think that's why I keep my hair long ... wash and wear. I hate fussing over my hair.
