"Do you want a bagel, hon?" I asked.
"Sure," said Greg.
I toasted up a couple of bagels for our late brunch. As I was preparing mine - I use butter, by the way, I asked my darling man what he'd like on his.
"Cream cheese is fine," he said.
"Are you sure? I think the stuff in the fridge is old. I think we've had that since we moved here." We moved in - officially - back in August.
"Nah! It's not that old. I'll eat it."
"Okay."
I removed the container from the fridge and looked at the date on the bottom. SELL BY JAN 5 2004. I wasn't convinced. I was certain I'd purchased the cream cheese back in April or May. I bravely opened the container.
"Sweetie, do you want the velvety greenish-blue stuff or the fuzzy gray stuff?"
"I'll just have butter, thanks."
"Can I say it now?"
"Yeah. Go ahead."
"Told ya so!"
Oddly enough, I almost considered trying it. I mean, I'll be dead next week anyway when a certain baboon returns from his trip to the Caribbean and discovers what I've done...what's the worst that could have happened? Besides, with the removal of the dishwasher yesterday by the decidedly unhandyman, we had so much mold and mildew flying around the kitchen that I couldn't much breathe anyway.
Posted by DaGoddess at January 14, 2004 07:05 PMHey Goddess, since your dead anyway, how about using this:http://users.wolfcrews.com/toys/vikings/ as a cat bomb?

Posted by: Key at January 15, 2004 07:30 AMI'm just anticipating that maybe he won't notice all the change at once, and innocently leave some of them in place when he gets back. ROFLMAO! (Hey, I've got it to spare so I'll laugh it off if I want to.)
Posted by: SwampWoman at January 15, 2004 10:47 AMCHANGES, dammit, CHANGES! And I'm supposed to be good at this editing stuff, too.
Posted by: SwampWoman at January 15, 2004 10:48 AMUh oh, could this be something olike a long red tube labelled "Acme Dynamite Co" with a piece of string at one end and this sort of fizzing, smokey trail from it?
