In Case You Haven't Noticed

The day after Christmas, employees of almost every retail establishment were hard at work tearing down Christmas displays and setting up for Valentine's Day. Crass commercialism at its finest.

I have a little suggestion for all you men out there....skip the stores when it comes to buying something for your beloved. Head directly to Marie Bernadette Jewelry for something unique and lovely. Ladies, she does make accessories for men, too! (She doesn't have any photos of these items on her site, though.)

The designer of these gifts is someone from our blogging neighborhood and I think it's time we started promoting some of fellow bloggers and their amazing talents!

Another creative lady in the blogosphere is my dear friend Dragonfly Jenny.

Kate crochets! Warm and cozy covers for chilly nights with your loved one, perhaps?

Who else among us is creative and would like to help a blog neighbor out with unique Valentine's Day gift ideas?

You can get on the International Star Registry and purchase and name a star for your Valentine. I think that is a cool idea. My ex in high school did that for me. I still have the chart, etc. and could look it up if I wanted.

Joanie, that is a great idea. I would be happy to have a special blogroll of bloggers who are creative and want to sell their goods. I'd probably buy some of them, too. And, if I ever have time, I might even get back into my pottery and stained glass.

I love how you are always thinking of others.

Yeah, if I gave KC the flowers/chocolate stereotype I probably wouldn't live to see the 15th. This year in conjunction with our 25th anniversary we are going to Mexico for a week. Even better than jewelry as KC can't wear jewelry at work in the lab.

Yeah, Joanie. Get to work on the blogroll of creative bloggers. IN YOUR SPARE TIME!!!
LOL Do they all have web pages? I'm always open for suggestions. An excellent idea, Beth.

Joanie doesn't have to do it. If people want to send me their websites, I'll do it on blogroll and let anyone who wants that blogroll have it.
Capitalism at its finest, eh?

Joanie,
Thanks for the mention about my jewelry. The men's accessories line features metal bracelets (brass, copper) that have become extremely popular with my friends in Europe. I've not put them up on the site as they'll be featured under another name (I'm working on it!) Anyway, thanks again for the mention - that was great of you. And if any of your readers are of the creative persuasion, I'm happy to plug their wares also on my blog.

Thanks for the mention :)
I make and sell cool scarves but don't have any photos right now, too lazy (and cold) to take any. Not very enterprising eh!
