Sumba

I didn't know a place called Sumba existed until just a few days ago. Now, I want to know as much as possible about it.

Go look it up. No. I'm not providing you with any links. You have to do a little digging on your own. Especially for treasures such as this.

Sumba's definitely going on my list of places I'd like to see. Maybe on my world tour. Just after Australia. Or maybe on my way to Oz from Africa.

Yeah. I have a lot of wanderlust deep down inside. That's not really the point, though. The point is, this place caught my eye and now it's on the list.

What places are on yours?

Now that you've spiked my curiosity, I WILL look it up! As far as where I'd like to go? Since I come from Jersey, and live in Hampshire, my greatest desire would be one of those overnite mule-trips down into the Grand Canyon. Barring that, then maybe just driving BY the Grand Canyon. Oddly enough, I've had the opportunity in my life to see a lot of the world, now I'd just like to see my own proverbial back yard.
(But I'd go and see the world AGAIN, in a nanosecond, given the same, uh, cash flow like I had all the other times!...Only THIS time, I'd leave my husband at home and bring my daughter/best friend!...I have a feeling there'd be much less arguing, and more "c'est la vie, je n'ai sais quoi " and a bit of spring break-! Did I mention a LOT less arguing?

...please don't tell my husband I said that, but I won't deny it if it comes out!

Australia, Brazil...but I am into seeing any new country really...travel is so enjoyable and the best way to educate yourself about how people of different cultures live IMHO.

Back on my old blog, I used to do virtual travel posts on the weekends sometimes. I'd find some lovley obscure place, and put up a few pictures.

The easier question is where don't I wanna go. I've never been anywhere, but I'm game to go anywhere. Top of the list though, Australia, Hawaii, Spain, England, Egypt, Italy, Jamaica- right after I travel across the U.S. and see all the major tourist attractions, like Mt. Rushmore, the Grand Canyon, etc.

I still have much of my home state to explore, altho I have driven just about every road in the 6 county area around Milwaukee. We are also interested in visiting the state fairs around the country.

As for going someplace exotic, I am tempted to take my son up on his invitation to accompany him to a Rainbow Gathering.

I've got whole globe wanderlust, but one of the more off beat places that's on my list is Madagascar.
