Under Siege, Day 5

Okay, I 've had it!

I want this fever, the coughing, the vomiting, and the body aches to leave. NOW!

I simply can't take another moment of this.

To make it even worse, I got a ticket on my way to pick up my son from school today. I was in mid-cough and ended up rolling through a stop sign. All the coughing and phlegm did not deter the sheriff from giving me the ticket. Grr. Oh well. The last time I had a ticket was so long ago that I can't even remember it. I'm eligible for traffic school and I'll probably do that.

Adding icing to this particular mucoid cake is the nice yellowish water drippng from the ceiling. Seems the condo above us is experiencing a plumbing problem. Their kitchen is right above our living room. The drip drip dripdrip drip drip dripdrip drip drip drip dripdrip drip drip dripdrip drip drip drip dripdrip drip drip drip dripdripdrip actually made me move from the couch to the chair here for a little break.

All the fun a gal can stand. All under one roof.

That's it. I'm done. I need to get rid of this crap and I need it to disappear by tomorrow morning.

Anyone? Anyone?

Thanks again for the email, wish I could return the favor - maybe a virtual foot rub or back rub? I'd bake you a Black Forest cheesecake, but some how I don't think it would last all the way to CA. Take care of yourself, and get better soon!

I'm with you! My head cold has settled into a nice upper respiratory infection, which I have no doubt will congeal into a nice pneumonia thanks to the fact that I have this crappy, placebo-like carb-friendly cough medicine instead of my holiest of holy grails; NyQuil...

I also found out it doesn't help if you give the cold to someone else, you still have the original. The other person just has a fake version of it that can't possibly be as bad as yours. Well, that's what I feel like anyway...

Oh... I got luckier than you. Last year when I had the "crud" I was on the turnpike and a cop pulled me over...said I was following too close to another vehicle - now this vehicle had just pulled in front of me but oh well -- I was so sick and had tissues all over the seat, makeup running from teary eyes from sneezing...I said just give me whatever and coughed...he just sent me on my way...I think he was afraid to touch anything of mine! Hope you feel better today.
