Homophone: (Hō - mō - fōn or hŏm-e-fōn) One of two or more words, such as night and knight, that are pronounced the same but differ in meaning, origin, and sometimes spelling.
Say it. C'mon. Say it.
Saying the word homophone does NOT make you gay!
However, if you use the word synonym and you pronounce it "cinnamon"...it's very gay.
Just thought I'd clear up a little misunderstanding for some friends.
Posted by DaGoddess at August 6, 2003 12:06 AMSigh, I once knew someone who went to the libary to ax what the word cinnamon meant.
That shit drives me crazy!!
Posted by: Moxie at August 6, 2003 12:59 AMTook me five minutes to figure out the whole synonym/cinnamon thing, it is either late, or I am lame. :-)
Posted by: Guy R. Vestal at August 6, 2003 02:38 AMLMAO.
Posted by: TW at August 6, 2003 06:21 AMI thought that a "homophone" is what gay people used to communicate with.
;)

Posted by: Little Miss Attila at August 7, 2003 04:12 AMMy daughter says "pacific" when she is trying to say "specific". Is she a lesbian as a result? I need to know this, I have to start thinking about whether she should get into golf :)
Posted by: Steve at August 7, 2003 10:47 AMIf I pronounce synonym Cinnabon, what does that make me? Never mind. I don't want to know. I have enough issues.
Posted by: Velociman at August 7, 2003 08:20 PMDo people with a lisp or a genuine speech impediment count in this? I'm assuming not.
Posted by: Melissa at August 7, 2003 09:50 PMI'm baaaaack. Been fighting with my own blog and site problems so much the last few days, I'm only now catching up. Oh, and my MIL and I actually did some weeding and moved furniture. Why, Joanie, you'd be proud! Felt good to get out and work up a sweat, and actually see some tangible results and not just FTP logs. ;)
