Up In Arms

I'm bothered by the fact that the WalMart smiley face guy, the one who goes around reducing prices...has no arms. He has hands. But no arms.

That's messed up.

I'd be pissed if I had disembodied hands that were still moving around and doing things on their own.

I wonder if the smiley has a little detached penis as well.

I need to get out more.

I guess as long as he keeps displaying a facial expression that we take to indicate happiness, we'll assume he's happy, so it must be OK for him, at least.

Assuming that what you and I experience as happiness is what he does, too.

Assuming that what I understand and experience to be happiness is what you do, too.

Oh well.


BTW, why is it that when I try to use your "How Can You Be Unsure?" button I am unable to access any buttons and have to start my Comment over? This makes me experience not happiness.

My hands sometimes feel detached when they do things ALL BY THEMSELVES! So does my mouth, when it gets me in trouble. I believe that my real problem is a detached brain.

But you see, I believe the Smiley Face thing is really extraterrestrial. Think about it - How many weird looking people do you see hanging around in Wal-Mart? You never see them anywhere else in town, just inside Wal-Mart. Maybe Wal-Mart is like a safe haven for visiting ETs, like we saw in Men In Black.

Maybe Sam Walton was Agent S....

The Wal-Mart smiley has arms, but they're invisible... like his hover-jet pack he uses to move around the store; You see, he has legs too, but his cousin, Mr. Yuck Face, paralyzed him in a Ty-D-Bol related car accident. Rather than be disturbed by his apparent armlessness, I'd think you would be proud of the recovery he's made since the 70's when he was a quadrapeligic...
