Calamari Anyone?

Flying squid invade SoCal beaches... The Birch Aquarium will take a big mess in La Jolla and turn it into a marine life lesson. Thousands of jumbo squid washed up on the La Jolla Cove beach this week. City maintenance crews spent hours loading the dead animals into trucks to go to the dump. Specimens of the squid will be on display at the Birch Aquarium. Scientists don't know the reason for the beaching of the squid which are usually found off Central and South America. They say it's possible warm water attracted the squid and that could signal the coming of El Nino. Health officials say the mess poses no health risk, but the carcasses might attract sharks to the area.
