I Want a New Camera!

Da Goddess @ 13:25

There’s nothing wrong with my camera. No. Not really. But I would give my left hip for higher resolution, full frame sensor, and a greater ISO range.

So, since the Canon 5D Mark III is waaaaay out of my price range (everything is, but this really, really is), I figured, why the hell not get more entries for the giveaway?!

  1. LOL! Why not, indeed?

If I were to buy a new camera (totally NOT happening) it would be one of those new mirrorless Sonys… the A7R as long as we’re dreaming… ;)

  2. The Sony is fantastic! I had a chance to play with one a few years ago and it was light, had great image quality, and it was super easy to use. But to go Sony, I’d have to go all new lenses.

  3. A 5D is *way* too heavy anyway. I can’t handle mine anymore. I was temped by the 6D which is the full-frame sensor on a slightly lighter weight body, but the way my vision is (can’t do my favorite macro stuff anymore at all), I couldn’t justify the price ($1900 body only).

I just got a Rebel SL1, the lightest weight SLR Canon makes ($500 for the body). It works good enough for me, the stuff I just took at Cater Lake came out great.

  4. Yeah, that’s the only thing about the 5D that I don’t like — the heavier body. But I could do so much more with the increased ISO range and I would find a way to manage. First world problems and all that.

Don’t get me wrong, I love my Rebel XTi. I love my lenses. I’m just hoping TNSTAAFL is wrong this time and I win the camera.
