Real Woman and Proud of It!

Da Goddess @ 02:50

You can have opinion. You can be outspoken about it. But you can’t tell me that I should feel bad about myself just because we don’t agree.

I will never again weigh what I did in high school. I will likely never again weigh what I did on my wedding day. I’m okay with that. I’d love to be that thin again, but I refuse to spend my every waking moment pursuing a thinner body instead of living my life.

Instead of working out all the time and counting every calorie that goes in my mouth, I eat healthier foods, do my best to stay active when my body allows it. I do this for myself and my loved ones, but NOT because someone who thinks “thin is in” thinks I should.

Oh, and even when I got married, I weighed 145 lbs and was considered overweight by the doctor’s body mass index chart.

  1. Amen! You just be the best Da Goddess you can be and screw everyone else. Outward appearances are the least of our worries, really.

I gave up on the anorexic way of life some time ago and couldn’t be happier… :D

  2. I do not find anorexic-looking women attractive AT ALL. Women need a figure. Curves. That is NOT fat. I always like a little extra meat on the bones. Call it more to put my arms around and more to love.

  3. Like Dave says… CURVES. Love curves. Some of these younger stick women are not attractive at all. We’re being force fed this crap by people who don’t eat and expect the rest of us to do the same.

  4. Super thin isn’t attractive to me at all — in men or women. I understand that some people CAN’T gain weight, but for the rest of them it’s all about looks. Girls especially are pressured to attain a false level of “beauty” because that’s what sells the most weightloss products and pays for therapists’ vacations. It’s unreasonable for any of us to conform to standards that so few can actually survive healthily on
