If I Do Nothing Else Right
Please let my last link, my last post be about Patrick F. McManus.
I love his writing. And since I’ve spent the last couple weeks highlighting those who inspire me, it’s only fair to point the way to McManus!
Again, I am trying to get my ducks in a row to get my domain renewed. Should that not occur, I will endeavor to get back up online quickly.
In the meantime, check out Pat McManus and know that he makes me laugh my ass off.
Holy moly, I’ve never heard of him! Thanks for the introduction…!

I’ve blogged about him before, especially when I talked about Lewis Grizzard. His first books are fantastic and I recommend you go on eBay to find “Never Sniff A Gift Fish” and “A Fine And Pleasant Misery”

I recall reading ” A Fine And Pleasant Misery” many years ago. Good stuff! I’m pretty sure I picked up some of his other works after that, but the titles escape me.

I was introduced to McManus back in the mid-80s. I’ve been a fan ever since.
I once sat in O’Hare Airport at 5am, laughing out loud and not caring who heard me. I’m sure many thought I was crazy, but I couldn’t stop myself. I was reading “The Grasshopper Trap”
