  4. You’re someplace that gets a real autumn, and a beautiful one at that…autumn down here means it only gets up to 85 during the day.

  5. Wow! I don’t know where you were… but I’d sure like to visit it!

That sunflower makes me smile.

  6. Nice aspens! They’re a little further along in Colorado, but I think they’re probably higher there. Sigh. I need to be where there’s aspens; they’re my favorite tree.

  7. Aspens are my favorites, too. Need another week or two before we start getting that windchime effect.

Would you believe that all this is happening less than 30 minutes from my house??

  8. Lee Canyon or Mt Charleston, is my guess. I used to go up there for my tree fix. May be on the road out toward Parumph, but I don’t remember much like that past Red Rock….

  9. Mt. Charleston it is, P2.

  10. They still have the gasthaus at the top end of the road? If you get the chance, hop over to Lee Canyon this winter. The ski area there is pretty and there’s tons of opportunity for pictures…

  11. Yep, still there. Had snacks and iced tea after our little explore. Service was crappy, but the view was unforgettable.

  12. doesn’t surprise me…. the deck was always a nice spot and it was great to get out of the furnace that is the Vague-ass valley floor.

Have you made it up to Cedar City or Brianhead yet? Easy drive, about 2 hours or so and well worth it..

  13. Not yet. I have a feeling all I have to do is mention it and the trip would be on. I absolutely want to go splorin’ more. I spent a few too many months NOT doing so, and now I’m catching up.
