Used to be fascinated by these patterns formed in the sand as the sea draws back from a beach. Tricky to photograph and very transient – the next wave generally wipes them clean and then creates new ones for you to marvel at. Nice pictures.

1) a one-eyed lion or sea lion…
2) a puppy’s nose or an animal track of some sort
3) either two penguins (in the left corner) or a rhino
4) Sand. Or maybe salmon swimming upstream
