I Spy
So, my pre-op with my surgeon was moved up from Friday to today. Fine, fine. I was good with that. On the journey to, at, and from the doc’s office, I saw:
- a little girl run out into the middle of the street. Thank God I saw her, because she’d have been toast otherwise. Her mom yelled and spanked her and then burst into tears. Been there myself.
- the local thermometer for the city. At 2:40pm it was 106 out. Yes. One-oh-six. Oddly, it only felt about 104.
- Six cars waiting for handicap parking in the lot between the doc’s office and the rehab center. (I cheated and took one of the non-handicapped spots meant for the rehab center. I wasn’t about to sit around idling. No thanks!)
- A stupid article on a local band billed as a blues act. They’re not. They’re classic rock, at best. I hate that sort of thing. It’s not fair to the true blues bands working their butts off to honor the tradition and the music.
- An article on the top docs in San Diego. My doc still isn’t on the list, but I know he’s the best.
- An article about wounded Marines. It was awesome!
- My doc! Yay!
- Three girls at a gas station, trying to sell overpriced candy and walking slower than snails, preventing traffic from moving.
- At 5pm, the thermometer mid-Poway read 107. It felt it.

With the lighting in the office as it was, these photos don’t do justice to either the medical assistant or the doc.
I am now off to shoot my last concert for the next couple of months.
107??? It barely hit 55° here…

Well that was an eventful day. And I am with jan 107? It is freezing in Georgia. I miss the heat.

Totally for real on the temp. Right now? It’s 61. Over a forty degree drop. Crazy, eh?
And, he does look like Beau Bridges. I noticed that when I was editing the photos. I never saw it before, but there it is. Now you know why I don’t mind going to the doctor’s office.
